Russian olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia)

• Deciduous tree reaching 10 to 25 feet
• Narrow, silvery leaves
• Stems and truck covered in 1-2 inch thorns
• Fruits small and silvery when young and mature into a tan color
• Particularly invasive in riparian areas (along rivers and reservoirs)
